Parent Seminars

Parent seminars at Holy Apostles are offered about once every two months, and are designed to support and equip parents to be the best parents they can be, and to provide support and fellowship among parents.  All seminars are open to the community, and are free of charge unless otherwise noted. 

Deuteronomy 6:4-9: Passing faith in Jesus on to our children - Sunday, November 2nd, 12:00pm-2:30pm: Benjer McVeigh, pastoral associate for families at Holy Apostles, will present on teaching the Christian faith to our children.  The seminar is offered free of charge to all parents (please invite your friends!).  Lunch, childcare, and youth activities will be provided; RSVP to Benjer via email, and please indicate how many children or youth you will be bringing.

Friday Evening, October 24th- Parish Family Game Night: On Friday evening, October 24th, Holy Apostles is sponsoring a game night for all ages to be hosted in different parishioners’ homes.  Individuals, couples, and families will sign up to either host a game night at their home for 8 - 14 people, or to simply attend a game night at someone else’s home and bring snacks and hors d'oeuvres.  Different homes will host different “types” of game nights (some that would accommodate younger children, and some for youth and adults).  People will be able to request what kind of game night they’d like to attend, so that couples without children may attend a game night with younger children if they choose.  The game night will begin around 6pm, but times can be adjusted to allow for children’s bedtimes.  Please make sure to sign up at church, and keep in mind that we need people to host to make it work!  You may sign up for this event beginning in mid-February.
